First meeting in Milano

Humanitas University has hosted the first in person meeting in November 2022 for the kickoff of the project. All partners met for identifying the first activities and planning outcomes for the next months.

Second meeting in Belgrade

On 29th and 30th October, the second in person meeting took place at Beograd University. All partners met to discuss the results of the codesign sessions and the planning of the pilot training programme.

Third Partners’ meeting at INI

The last in-person meeting of the partners has been organized in Hannover at INI. Fruitful discussions among partners and professionals involved in the project led to the planning of the last activities. Moreover, the revision of some outputs has led to the final draft of several documents.

Two moments of virtual meetings with all students who have attended the program were organized to provide them feedback about the summer activity and the brainwave session organized in early September.

Students were happy to meet online and to have the chance to share their experiences and debate about hot topics related to the life of a neurosurgeon.

Interactive Lecture Series

We are thrilled to announce the launch of our online interactive lecture series designed to enhance the knowledge and skills of medical students interested in the fascinating field of Neurosurgery. This initiative brings together the expertise of multiple centers, allowing students to engage with leading professionals from the comfort of their own locations.

Our first two sessions have already set the stage for an enriching learning experience, with Lusiadas kicking off the series on October 10th with a deep dive into Spine and its Pathologies, followed by Humanitas University’s insightful lecture on Emergencies in Neurosurgery on October 17th.

We are excited to announce that two more lectures are on the horizon, aimed at further empowering our future neurosurgeons. These sessions will cover critical topics tailored to both theoretical knowledge and practical applications, ensuring that students are well-equipped for their future careers:

  • Brain Tumors – delivered by INI Hannover on December 5th
  • Peripheral and Functional Neurosurgery – delivered by Beograd University on November 7th
